Kishwaukee loses on road 65-56 to Morton.

The Kishwaukee men's basketball team lost its second game in a row for just the second time this year with a 65-56 road loss to Morton College.  The game started slow for both teams missing chances to take command of the game.  Kishwaukee would lead through much of the first half but never able to shake the Panthers.  The Kougars would go into the half leading a low scoring game (21-18).  The second half would see Morton play more aggressively and attack the basket well.  They would slowly chip away Kishwaukee's lead and take a small lead of their own.  Kishwaukee's defense would not play strong in the second half and give up 47 points to the Panthers.  The Kougars could not do enough down the stretch to overtake Morton and end the game on the losing end.  Kishwaukee would only get three players into double-figures for the afternoon in freshman point guard Rudy Lopez(Dekalb HS) 17 points, followed by sophomore forward Malcolm Reed(Marquette HS) 12 points, and sophomore forward JoVonte Peals(Marquette HS)  with 10 points.  The Kougars look to get back in the win column as they continue their road trip Tuesday night at rival Waubonsee College with a 7:30pm start time.
