April 12, 2024 - The Kishwaukee College Baseball team hosted Illinois Valley CC Friday in an Arrowhead Conference match-up.   Kish and IVCC were tied 4-4 heading into the top of the seventh where the Eagles plated a run that would hold up 5-4.  Jacob Skinner starter and pitched well giving up only one earned run.  Will Baumgartner tallied three hits on offense.  Sam Genslinger, Ethan Byham, Tommy Gargano and Cyrus Mehmedi each had a hit and a run scored for Kish while Dean Rizzo had 2 hits and an RBI.

Game two had a different final result as Kishwaukee held on to a 7-5 victory as Sawyer Eccles started on the mound for Kish and pitched well giving up 3 earned runs over six innings striking out four.  Adam Raclawski went the final inning giving up one earned run while striking out the side.  Zach Cantu, Aiden Rodriguez, Cyrus Mehmedi and Rizzo picked up key hits while Cantu, Baumgartner, Byham and Genslinger scored runs for Kish

With the split of the doubleheader the Kougars move to 6-13 in NJCAA Region 4 action as they will travel to Galesburg to battle another Arrowhead Conference rival Carl Sandburg Saturday.
