Kougars pick up comeback win in tune up Mon, play Pasco-Hernando State College Tuesday

March 20, 2023 - The Kishwaukee College Baseball team collected a solid come from behind victory in extra innings Monday against the Trojans 12-11 as part of the team's southern trip.  Kish was tied 9-9 heading into the top of the 8th when the Trojans picked up 2 runs to take an 11-9 lead.  The Kougars two out rally began with a Mason Struck walk followed by an Anthony Immordino single to right field.  Lenox Estremera would walk to fill the bases. Blake Novinsky then hit a tricky grounder to the third baseman, that was scored an error, scoring both Struck and Immordino to tie it up then a passed ball scored Estremera to win it for Kish.  Immordino led Kish with 3 hits and 2 runs scored with teammates Jack Ryan with 3 hits, 2 runs and an RBI and Tyler Jacobsen going 3-3 with 3 RBI.  Other Kougar offensive highlights included Ryan Adamik and Novinsky with 2 hits each and Jaylen Edwards, Sam Williams with a hit each plus Trevor Delporte with an RBI and Gabriel Lopez with a run scored.  On the mound, Adam Raclawski went 4 innings striking out 4, Evan Hill went 2 innings striking out 2 and Estremera going 2 innings surrendering 0 earned runs.

Kishwaukee will play at 6:00 pm Tuesday versus Pasco-Hernando State College with one final game on Wednesday of their spring trip.  The team will travel back to Malta to take on Arrowhead Conference foe Carl Sandburg College at home Saturday tentatively at noon first game with game two to follow.  Kish will have another doubleheader Sunday versus Harper College at home at noon.  All weekend games are weather permitting.
