June 4, 2018 -  NJCAA All Academic Teams and Arrowhead Conference All Academic Teams have been presented and Kishwaukee College had a large number of representatives receiving recognition.  A total of 27 student-athletes were recognized for their outstanding achievements in the classroom this past 2017-2018 season in these two prestigious areas.

The NJCAA Academic All Americans are required to have competed in at least one sport while completing at least 24 cumulative hours with at least a 3.60 gpa for third team honors and at least a 3.80 for 2nd team honors.  Kishwaukee is proud to announce that both Abigail Kerns and Thomas Hansen were NJCAA Academic All American 2nd Team recipients and also Taniya Ritenour, Larisa Smits, Ashley Kerns, Danielle Stiles, Alissa Lacko and Caleb Gould were NJCAA Academic All American 3rd Team recipients.

The Arrowhead Conference All Academic Team members had to have been competing in at least one sport during the year while maintaining full time status both in the fall and spring semesters and having a cumulative gradepoint average of 3.00 or above.  Womens Softball led in total overall recognitions with 10 followed by Womens Basketball with 5 and Womens Volleyball, Mens Baseball and Mens Basketball each with 4.  This years Kougar student-athletes recognized for the Arrowhead Conference All Academic team include:
