Kish baseball hits road for friday games, lose two close contests to Madison College

March 30, 2018 - Kougars baseball got in a twin bill against Madison College in Madison Friday but lost two close contests 3-2 in game one and in game two 4-0.

In the first game, Tommy Hansen, Jonah Artiles (RBI) and David Villafane (RBI) posted hits against Madison pitching while Alex Soto and Dylan Smith crossed the plate for the two runs Kish would score.  Marc Soto (one earned run) pitched six solid innings striking out seven with no walks.  Trevor Sanchez (0-1 record) picked up the hard luck loss in relief.  The nightcap was all Wolpack scoring in the 4-0 win.  Soto, Smith and Artiles garnered the only hits for Kish while starter Evan Sutta (four runs, 1 earned run) went five innings on the mound.

Kishwaukee (15-9 overall, 0-0 conference) is scheduled to play Arrowhead Conference foe, Illinois Valley tomorrow, Saturday March 31 in Malta (weather permitting) with first pitch at noon.
