March 22, 2018 - The Kishwaukee Kougars baseball team split a doubleheader against the Madison College Wolfpack on Thursday in Malta. Madison (4-8) took the lead in the third inning and added runs in the fourth, sixth and seventh innings to take game one 9-1. The nightcap, became a pitchers duel throughout the entire contest. It wasn't until the bottom of the fourth inning when Tommy Hansen scored from third base on a dropped third strike for the Kougars to make the score 1-0. That score would be the only run of the game for either team as the Kish staff threw their fourth shutout of the young season.
Kishwaukee (15-7) will host their next game on Saturday, March 31 as they open up Arrowhead Conference play against Illinois Valley Community College starting at 12:00 pm.
