Salguiero and Tolentino to Move On

Renny Tolentino (St. Brendan High School) and David Salgueiro (Archbishop Coleman Carroll High School) have decided to continue their college baseball careers at LSU Shreveport. 

Renny Tolentino tied for the conference lead with 3 wins and only gave up 2 earned runs in 19 innings pitched, for the second best E.R.A. in the league at 0.93. He struck out 24 batters in his 19 innings of work. He pitched a no hitter this season versus Carl Sandburg College. 

Additionally, Tolentino was named to the Arrowhead Conference All-Conference Team. 

David Salgueiro hit .390 on the year with 10 doubles. He led the nation with 60 stolen bases in 55 games.

Salgueiro was honored as a Division 1 All-Region IV selection along with Arrowhead Conference All-Conference Team. 

LSU-Shreveport is an NAIA institution and is a member of the Red River Conference. The Pilot baseball team finished 38-20 last season, while winning the Red River Conference Tournament. The Pilots were eliminated in the second round of the NAIA National Championship.
