Kougar Baseball Drops to 9-3

Despite Jared Johnson's 2-4 performance at the plate on Wednesday, Kishwaukee College took a 9-3 loss at the hands of Gloucester at Auburndale, FL.

Niles McFadden got the win for Gloucester. He allowed three runs over 4 2/3 innings. Niles McFadden struck out six, walked one and gave up eight hits.

Chris Suarez took the loss for Kishwaukee College. He allowed eight runs in four innings, walked one and struck out four.

Kishwaukee College jumped out to an early 2-0 lead in the top of the first. Kishwaukee College's threat began with a single by David Salgueiro. A stolen base then moved Salgueiro from first to second. Johnson doubled, scoring Salgueiro. More runs came home for Kishwaukee College when Johnson scored on an error.

It didn't take long for Gloucester to respond as it scored two runs of its own in the first. Gloucester scored on a solo home run by Matt Woods and an RBI double by Dan Valerio.

Gloucester didn't relinquish the lead after scoring two runs in the third inning when it scored on an RBI double by Domonic D'Alessandro and a sacrifice fly by Valerio.

Gloucester tacked on another four runs in the fourth. Matt Woods' triple got things going, bringing home Jan Castellano. That was followed up by Eric Schorr's double, plating Matt Woods.
