David Salgueiro collected three hits, helping Kishwaukee College to an 8-4 victory over Muscatine on Monday at Winter Haven, FL.

He singled in the third, fifth, and seventh innings.

Chris Rodriguez recorded the win for Kishwaukee College. He allowed four runs over 5 2/3 innings. He struck out eight, walked three and surrendered three hits.

Nick Hirst took the loss for Muscatine. He allowed six runs in six innings, walked none and struck out one.

Kishwaukee College stayed on top until the final out after taking the lead in the fourth, scoring four runs on an RBI double by Austin Allende, a two-run home run by Matt Albert, and an RBI single by Andres Rios.

One run in the bottom of the fifth helped Muscatine close its deficit to 5-1. A solo home run by Phil Langlois gave Muscatine life. Finally, Chris Rodriguez induced an inning-ending ground out from Isander Benitez.

Three runs in the bottom of the sixth helped Muscatine close its deficit to 5-4. A two-run single by Langlois and a bases loaded walk by Bryan Morales set off Muscatine rally. But, Austin Broyles got Benitez to fly out to end the inning.

Kishwaukee College added three more runs in the top of the seventh. Salgueiro singled, plating Trevor Cielenski to start the inning.
