Kougars Keep Win Streak Alive

A four-run eighth inning sealed a 10-1 win for Kishwaukee College over Itasca on Friday at Auburndale, FL.

Kishwaukee College scored in the eighth on an RBI single by Cody Richards, a two-run triple by Cooper Vinz, and a sacrifice fly by Matt Albert.

Albert racked up three RBIs on two hits for Kishwaukee College.

Ricky Rodriguez pitched lights out for Kishwaukee College. Itasca managed just one hit off of the Kishwaukee College's pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked two and struck out seven during his five innings of work.

Josh Wood was charged with the loss. He lasted just six innings, walked one, struck out three, and allowed three runs.

Kishwaukee College stayed on top until the final out after taking the lead in the third, scoring two runs on a two-run triple by Albert.

Kishwaukee College scored one run in the sixth inning, and then followed it up with one more in the ninth. In the sixth, Kishwaukee College scored on an RBI single by Trevor Cielenski, scoring Gary Garcia.

Kishwaukee College built upon its lead with two runs in the seventh. Vinz started the inning with a single, bringing home Jared Johnson. That was followed up by Daryl Chou's single, scoring Albert.
