Cooper Vinz helps Kishwaukee College down Century (MN) 8-5

Cooper Vinz went 2-3 as Kishwaukee College took home an 8-5 victory over Century in seven innings at Winter Haven, FL on Thursday.

He singled in the third and fourth innings.

Even though Chris Suarez allowed five runs over seven innings he still recorded the victory. Chris Suarez struck out four, walked two and gave up seven hits.

Ryan Schlosser was charged with the loss. He allowed eight runs in six innings, walked three and struck out seven.

In the top of the first, Century grabbed the early lead, 3-0. A single by Noah Bluth, plating Wes Anderson started the inning off. The scoreboard lit up again for Century when Twenge scored on a fielder's choice.

Century brought home one run in the third inning, and matched that run total in the seventh. In the third, Century scored on an RBI single by Troy Ouellette, scoring Bluth.

Kishwaukee College scored two runs of its own in the third. Kishwaukee College scored on and an RBI single by Vinz.

Kishwaukee College went up for good in the fourth, scoring six runs on a two-run error, a fielder's choice, and an RBI single by Vinz.

One run in the top of the seventh helped Century close its deficit to 8-5. A groundout by Axel Twenge fueled Century's comeback. The game went final when Bluth.

Kishwaukee College's Aneudy DeLacruz comes through in the clutch, upends Century (MN), 4-2

Aneudy DeLacruz brought home the go-ahead run to give Kishwaukee College the lead in the sixth inning, as Kishwaukee College hung on to beat Century 4-2 on Thursday.

Cooper Vinz reached on an error to get on base in the sixth. He then went from first to third on a single by Matt Albert.

Andres Rios racked up two RBIs on one hit for Kishwaukee College. He tripled in the first inning.

Austin Broyles struck out six hitters en route to the Kishwaukee College win. Austin Broyles allowed one earned run, four hits and two walks over seven innings.

Christian Zellner couldn't get it done on the mound for Century, taking a loss. He lasted just five innings, walked one, struck out two, and allowed three runs.

The top of the first saw Kishwaukee College take an early lead, 2-0. Vinz singled to ignite Kishwaukee College's offense, before Rios tripled, plating Vinz and Albert.

Century got one-run rallies in the second inning and the third. In the second, Century scored on a groundout by Troy Ouellette, bringing home Matt Hasselquist.
