The Kishwaukee Kougars men’s basketball team participated in the 4th installment of the Champions Read program at Malta Elementary School. The Kougars read Curious George Plays Mini Golf to the 52 first grade students and provided each of them a copy of the book to take home, as well as a copy for each classroom.
The Champions Read program is part of the Kishwaukee College Athletic Department’s Champions in the Community service platform. The Champions Read program is done in partnership with Thrivent Financial of DeKalb. To date, the Kougars of Kishwaukee College have completed over 1100 hours serving the DeKalb, Sycamore and surrounding communities.
